315th Force Support Squadron



Mission statement:
The 315th Force Support Squadron mission is "to train reservists and provide top quality service to all personnel, civilian and military, in fulfilling the wing mission."

Major responsibilities:
The major responsibilities of the 315 FSS are to provide customer service support for 315th Airlift Wing members and their families. This includes Customer Service Identification Cards, mobilizations for the wing, computer support, coordination of all promotions, medals, awards, processing of all new members into the wing, testing for all PME and CDC development courses, coordination of all upgrades and training requirements and the processing of all non-prior service members through Basic Military Training and initial technical schools.

2006 Highlights:
The Customer Service section issued 4,226 ID cards. There were 7,690 DEERS total transactions for additions, address updates, certificate updates, changes, finger overrides and pin changes. Out of the total 7,690, there were 1,427 pin changes and 933 certificate updates. This was due to the mandatory use of the common access card.

The wing training office's support to wing members led to a career development course passing rate above 96%, with less than 1% exceeding time limits. Wing training also processed 524 skill level upgrades.

The wing career assistance advisor ensured a 97% retention rate for the wing in Fiscal Year 2006.
