Wing wins three PA Communication awards at AFRC

The 315th Airlift Wing won three 2019 Public Affairs Awards for Communication Excellence at the Air Force Reserve Command level according to an AFRC PA announcement this week.

  • The 315th AW’s PA won the Maj. Henry H. “Hap” Arnold Award for Public Affairs Communication Effectiveness. This was for the wing’s contribution to efforts during the Venezuelan crisis.
  • The wing’s 4th Combat Camera won Best Crisis Communication Award.
  • And Staff Sgt. Corban Lunborg, 4th CTCS won the SSgt. Christopher S. Frost Outstanding Communication Noncommissioned Officer award.

“These PA professional represent the command’s finest!” said Col. Beth Horine, AFRC public affairs director.  “They exemplify the highest standards supporting Air Force and AFRC communication efforts, keeping internal and public audiences informed about our mighty Air Force Reserve mission.”

Winners will be nominated to represent the command in the Air Force-level competition.
