1/24/2012 - JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Staff Sgt Matthew J. Mihiylov, 315th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron here was named the 4th Air Force 2011 Chief Master Sgt. Thomas N. Barnes Crew Chief of the Year.
"I am extremely proud of SSgt Mihiylov's accomplishments. He has consistently performed at the highest level of professionalism and technical competence," said Col. Richard Gay, 315th Maintenance Group commander. "Being selected as the best crew chief in 4th AF is a tremendous honor and indicative of the exceptional performers we have in the 315th MXG."
"We reviewed outstanding packages and the underlying message is; we truly have remarkable people, performing remarkable feats for our Country and Command," said Chief Master Sgt. Timothy Harmon, HQ 4 AF Weapon Systems superintendent, in an e-mail. "After a thorough tally, the Selection Board is proud to announce SSgt Matthew J. Mihiylov as our Crew Chief of the year."
