Heat stress symptoms can include dry skin, dizziness, nausea, fatigue and increased body temperature. You should always keep an eye out for these symptoms in your wingmen as well as yourself and be mindful of heat stress conditions. The flag conditions, and heat categories are there to help enhance awareness of potentially dangerous weather likely to cause heat stress, as well as provide basic guidance on work rest cycles and fluid consumption. CANADIAN FORCES BASE COLD LAKE, ALBERTA, CANADA -- Eleven 315th Airlift Wing Airmen are among 175 Reservists participating in Exercise Maple Flag 47, a joint coalition exercise at Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada. Maple Flag prepares participants for global operations, enables joint operations training within the Canadian Armed Forces, and fosters multi-national coordination and cooperation. Justice Department officials announced an enforcement action yesterday against the nation's largest servicer of federal and private student loans, which was found to be systematically violating the legal rights of U.S. service members. The 315th Airlift Wing commander has authorized a delayed report time Wednesday Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. for non essential personnel. Base leadership will determine if further closing is necessary early tomorrow morning. If the decision is made to cancel non-essential operations for the remainder of the day, wing personnel will be notified via phone through their chain of command. Lastly Col. Fontanella asked that everyone use common sense: if the roads in your neighborhood seem to dangerous to drive on, call your supervisor to let them know. - Be safe
