Reservists return home after more than 4 months in Iraq and Afghanistan
Seventeen Airmen from the 38th and 81st Aerial Port Squadrons return to Charleston today after more than four months in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Air Force Reserve Aerial Port members were at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan and Balad Air Base, Iraq, since September and were responsible for cargo and passenger operations. Their duties included loading and unloading cargo and managing troop movements in and out of the countries. This group will be the first wave of nearly 85 deployed Charleston reservists who will be returning this month. (photo by Capt. Wayne Capps, USAFR)
