Joint, interagency partners establish ISB for hurricane relief efforts
Bledar Kllomollari, truck driver unloads cargo after delivering it to the Installation Support Base at Joint Base Charleston Oct. 21. The ISB is the central hub for sustained efforts aiding in rebuilding Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria. Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency established an initial staging area where items are received, inspected and measured. That information is put into the 841st Transportation Battalion’s logging system enabling them to create a stowage plan.
