38th Aerial Port members welcomed home

Fourteen Airmen assigned to the 38th Aerial Port Squadron, Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., returned to Charleston Sept. 23 after a four month deployment to locations in Southwest Asia.
 
The fourteen Airmen are part of nearly 111 deployed Charleston reservist who are scheduled to return home this month.

While deployed, the Air Force Reserve Aerial Port members were responsible for cargo and passenger operations. Their duties included loading and unloading cargo and managing troop movements in and out of the surrounding countries.

This year alone, the 315th Airlift Wing has deployed 219 Airmen.
