Charleston Reservist--Warrior of the Week at Bagram Airfield

BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan --  Staff Sgt. Michael Martin is this week's 455th Air Expeditionary Wing's Warrior of the Week.

He is member of the short take offs and landings flight assigned to the 455th Expeditionary Aerial Port Squadron.

His primary duties include inbound and outbound flight documentation. He creates daily reports for dissemination to higher headquarters, pulls mail and cargo for down range stations, calculates cargo weights for ACL's, and operates MHE for the up and down load of mail and cargo.

He also works with higher headquarters and multiple sister service base agencies to ensure the on-time delivery of mail, cargo and passengers to forward operating bases across Afghanistan.

Sergeant Martin is deployed from the 38th Aerial Port Squadron at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., and is a native of Charleston.
