315 AW’s November UTA rescheduled

JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. --

During the 315th Airlift Wing’s October Unit Training Assembly, the wing commander announced that the unit would not have a November UTA, but that it would be rescheduled to after the 2016 New Year.

“Due to fiscal restraints in the current budget environment, with the continuing resolution, we do not have enough funds in the first quarter to pay for the about $1.2 million in UTA expenditures,” said Col. Gregory Gilmour, 315th Airlift Wing commander.

“There is no cost savings to total Fiscal Year 16 budget for the November reschedule.  The UTA will be made up at another point in time in the fiscal year therefore the same amount of dollars will be obligated annually,” said Kyralynn Graybill, 315 AW Budget Analyst.

“All that has happened is we've 'kicked the can down the road' so-to-speak and relieved some of the burden of trying to operate under 72 days of funding until December 11,” Graybill added.
