Pilots and loadmasters from the U.S. Air Force Reserve’s 317th Airlift Squadron, along with aircraft maintainers from the 315th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, from Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina recently flew to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, for training during their annual tour.
Alaska represents a new challenge for the squadron -- it’s an unfamiliar environment exceedingly different from their usual training airspace in Charleston.
