TOPICAL STORM WARNING SEPT. 16, 2024
Potential Tropical Cyclone Eight is expected to slowly strengthen off the South Carolina coast this morning before moving
onshore near the Santee River entrance this afternoon and early this evening. The system will then continue to track to the
northwest and away from the area into Tuesday. The National Hurricane Center continues to monitor this system as it has the
potential to become a tropical or subtropical system while it remains off the South Carolina coast. Regardless of whether or not
the system becomes a tropical or subtropical system, a number of hazards will impact portions of the local area today.
