AMXS Open Ranks Inspection 2014
Airmen from the 315th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. prepare for an open ranks inspection May 4, 2014. Open ranks inspections are conducted periodically in order to ensure Airmen maintain professional dress and appearance standards. These U.S. military inspections date back to the late 1700s, during the time of General George Washington, when drill regulations were introduced to citizen soldiers of revolutionary forces.
