JB Charleston Naval Health Clinic prepares for Navy-wide COVID-19 testing
Hospital Corpsman Petty Officer 1st Class Shamace Phillips, a preventative medicine technician assigned to the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command, demonstrates the correct way to wear the personal protective equipment that is used to test patients for COVID-19 on July 8, 2020, at the Naval Health Clinic Charleston on Joint Base Charleston, S.C. Hospital Corpsmen from the NHCC were tasked with learning how to administer a COVID-19 swab test. The training will be used to test symptomatic patients and Sailors, as well as asymptomatic Sailors to attempt to lessen the spread of the virus.
