Hurricane Idalia

The installation is still closely monitoring Hurricane Idalia for potential base impacts. The strongest winds are expected between the hours of 2000L Wednesday through 0500L Thursday. Base services should have minimal closures tomorrow, with normal duty hours (Wednesday). Depending on the strength and speed of the storm, as well as local safety hazard considerations, the base is planning to implement a rolling start to Thursday morning. The CDC, base schools, and other services may be affected, but stand by for further information.
