Nose Job: Maintainers Swap C-17 Radome
Master Sgt. Christopher Allen, Tech. Sgt. Brendan Schneider, Staff Sgt. Phillip Zagornik, Senior Airman Brandon Buchanan, and Senior Airman Darien Alexander, all from the 315th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, perform a radome swap on a C-17 Globemaster III during an August Unit Training Assembly at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina. Citizen airmen here often train on the same tasks as their active-duty counterparts and perform aircraft maintenance alongside them. This type of "weekend warrior" training helps sharpen their skills, ensuring they are fully qualified when needed. Radomes are the nose sections of aircraft that house radar and other electronic equipment.
