Public Affairs --
Outbound traffic leaving the Joint Base Charleston from the Rivers Gate will not be permitted to turn left onto Midland Park Rd., Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. beginning Aug. 5, 2019.
This change comes from Col. Terrence Adams, Joint Base Charleston commander, in response to frequent traffic congestion caused by vehicles leaving the base attempting to turn left onto Midland Park Rd. against traffic. U-turns will also be prohibited past Midland Park Rd. and will be enforced by the North Charleston Police Department and 628th Security Forces Squadron.
Joint Base Charleston has worked in conjunction with the North Charleston Police Department, Charleston Aviation Authority and the 628th SFS to ensure full support and enforcement to this new policy.
