Effective immediately, Blues Monday is no longer a requirement here.

Based on recent decisions made by Air Force leadership, Col. James Fontanella, 315th Airlift Wing commander, announced yesterday that the blue service uniform is no longer the required uniform of the day every Monday.

According to Colonel Fontanella, uniform wear policy for all 315 AW military personnel should be commensurate with the expected duty that day, or as directed by workplace supervisors.

The blue service uniform and service dress uniform will continue to be the duty uniform for key players and honorees during formal ceremonies, formal public/civic engagements, and other such events as determined by the unit commander. Additionally, in an effort to remain faithful to our proud heritage, commanders may periodically direct wear of the blue service uniform and service dress uniform to ensure our airmen remain ready and compliant with dress and appearance standards for these uniform combinations.

All military personnel are required to maintain proper dress and appearance and ensure all uniform items are readily available to wear at all times.
