Multi-platinum rock band Daughtry cranked up the volume April 17, 2012 at the Township Auditorium in Columbia, S.C. and gave members of the 315th Airlift Wing here front row seats and the opportunity to meet the band.

Daughtry teamed up with the U.S. Air Force Reserve for the Get One Now "Refer a Friend Tour,"and the Columbia concert was one of 15 shows Daughtry is scheduled to perform for the USAFR.

The 315 AW recruiting office sponsored the Get One Now event, and reservist who referred potential applicants to the Wing's recruiting office through the Get One Now Web site received two free tickets to the concert. As an added bonus, backstage passes and photos with Daughtry were available to the first 25 people who submitted names of potential recruits.

Master Sgt. Karla Rose, 315 AW Force Support Squadron superintendent, was one of the Charleston Airmen who received V.I.P. treatment at the concert. With 27 years of service in the USAFR, Sergeant Rose said there are many good reasons to support the Get One Now program and concerts like Daughtry are a great bonus.

"The Air Force Reserve is a great start for any person who wants to get a head start in life, learn new skills, and be a part of something bigger than themselves," said Sergeant Rose.

Senior Master Sgt. Juliana Graap, 315 AW senior recruiter, values the leads generation efforts of the people who take the time to refer potential Airmen through the Get One Now program. From a recruiters point of view, leads generated by the men and women of the 315 AW are often stronger since a personal relationship is usually already established with the potential recruit. Generally speaking, warm leads provide great opportunities for recruiters to help people make informed and educated decisions about the USAFR.

The 315 AW encourages all Airmen to check out Get One Now and learn about the prizes and benefits associated with the program. Also, afrlive.com provides links to events, news, photos and other information relative to the UAFR.
