315th Airlift Wing members earn AFRC awards
JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Once again, members of the 315th Airlift Wing have been recognized for their skill and professionalism by leadership at 4th Air Force and Air Force Reserve Command taking home another handful of awards for 2011.
The 4th Air Force selected the 315th Logistics Readiness Squadron as the 4th AF ARC Base Logistics Activity of the Year.
- Maj. Bobby Degregorio was named 4 AF Logistics Readiness Field Grade Officer of the Year
- Mr. Larry Graybill, Jr., 315th Logistics Readiness Squadron, was named 4 AF Logistics Plans Civilian of the Year
- Mr. Bradley Levander, 81st Aerial Port Squadron, was named 4 AF Transportation Civilian Leader of the Year
Earning 2011 AFRC Logistics Readiness Awards were:
- Air Force Logistics Plans Civilian of the Air Force Transportation Civilian Year - Mr. Larry Graybill, Jr., 315th Logistics Readiness Squadron
- Supervisor/Leader of the Year - Mr. Bradley Levander, 81st Aerial Port Squadron
"Congratulations to all award recipients and nominees for their outstanding accomplishments. Your superb efforts, steadfast professionalism and continued dedication to the Air Force mission are greatly appreciated. Job well done!" said Air Force Reserve Chief, Lt. Gen. Charlese Stenner, Jr., in a letter announcing the logistics award winners.
- Senior Airman Bobby Pilch, 315th Airlift Wing - Public Affairs, earned a 2011 AFRC Media Contest award for his commentary article.
"The quality and quantity of entries continues to improve with each year. Thank you for your dedication and superb work in telling your unit's stories to the American public and our Air Force family. We appreciate your hard work and applaud your enthusiasm .We look forward to seeing more success stories in the 2012 contest," The general said in a letter announcing the media contest winners.
Airman and civilian employees from 27 organizations submitted over 300 entries to the 2011 AFRC Media Contest making it the largest such contest to date.
"I would like to extend my congratulations to this latest round of winners who were chosen to represent the 315th Airlift Wing. These are very special honors and it gives me great pleasure to recognize their outstanding achievements," said Col. Steven Chapman, 315th Airlift Wing commander. " I wish each of you luck as your entries are forwarded to Air Force level."
