Wing members have a ball at "the Joe"

Joint Base Charleston, SC --  Members of the 315th Airlift Wing along with representatives from the entire Charleston military community participated in the Riverdog's military appreciation night at Joe Riley Stadium on May 19, 2001.
 
Staff Sergeant Andrew Maxon, a reservist with the 315th Maintenance Squadron was selected to throw out one of the ceremonial first pitches. He was selected because of his accomplishments during a recent deployment. At the event, there were games for the whole family and a tug-of war competition pitting the services against each other.

Force Protection, the event sponsor also donated $25,000 to various military charities. The Riverdogs will hold 3 military appreciation nights this season.
