Name: Rashard Coaxum

Rank: Senior Airman

Military Job: Public Affairs

Civilian Job: Mount Pleasant Police Department

Favorite part of being in the Air Force: I get to go places, meet new people, and have new experiences that I wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to have anywhere else.

Biggest Pet Peeve: People who TYPE IN ALL CAPS on Twitter, Facebook, and blog sites.

Favorite superhero or villain and why: Batman is my favorite superhero. He has no actual super power but yet he still finds a way to defeat the evil advasary with might and willpower. Go Batman.

Favorite Sports Team: Dallas Cowboys

List 3 traits you admire in others: The drive to be great at everything they do, the willingness to always learn more than they knew yesterday, and a sense of humor! What's life without a laugh.

Which actor/actress would play you in a movie? Jim Carrey as "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" because it's a simple story of how one small act of kindness changed an entire life. Also, my mother tells me that we used to have a stark resemblance. I evidently started out green according to anonymous reports. I don't know.

Favorite thing about the Charleston area: The seafood, the summer beach, and downtown Charleston.

If you were in charge, what would you change? I would pass an AFI that mandates an hour of uninterupted sleep during each work day for stress relief and just because sleep is good.

Ideal vacation spot and why: Wailea Beach in Maui, Hawaii. The temperature is perfect year round, the beaches are warm, and it has four different ecosystems within a span of 15 miles.

If you could have dinner with anyone in the world who would it be and why? My grandmother Frances Coaxum. She always finds a way to make you smile and teach you life lessons in the same breath. With her there's never a dull moment and there's not a greater woman in the world to love and depend on.
