Two special veterans who are residents of the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center community living center toured Joint Base Charleston Nov. 15 as part of the 315th Airlift Wing's community relations program.  Highlights of the tour included a visit to the Air Education Training Command 373rd Training Squadron Detachment 5, lunch at the Charleston Club  with Reservists from the 315th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, and a demonstration by military working dogs and their handlers.

The visitors were Navy  veteran Leonard Whitaker and Army veteran Richard Cammer. Crammer was injured during the Vietnam War when the helicopter he was flying crashed.  Whitaker was a Vietnam Era submariner.
