Mini on display for AirFest 2010

The 315th Airlift Wing Mini C-17 from Charleston Air Force Base S.C. was on display May 1 and 2 during AirFest 2010 at March Air Reserve Base Calif. .

The Mini C-17 is a recruiting and community outreach tool for the 315th AW and the Air Force Reserve that travels the country educating the public on the missions of Charleston AFB and the C-17.

The Mini also was on display April 29 at Riverside Plaza in Riverside Calif. for the local community to stop by and ask questions about the aircraft and speak directly with the reservists that travel with the model C-17.

The team of reservists that accompanied the Mini C-17 were Master Sergeants Todd Givens and Bailey Courson, Tech Sergeants Beth Holzbaur and TSgt Tony Galioto and Staff Sergeant Shawn Summers.

The air show at March Field included performances by The Patriot Jet Demonstration Team and the F-22 Raptor. Also on display was the MQ-1 Predator.

Next up for the mini is a trip to the BMW plant in Greer, S.C. in early June.
