AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

CHARLESTON AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- I have much to be grateful for.

When we consider the Reserve Triad, Lt. Gen. Stenner often refers to, family, employer, and reserve, I'm blessed with a wonderful family, I work for the best employer in the world, The United States of America, and I'm employed by the greatest Air Force, Air Force Reserve, the world has ever known. Could it get any better? Yes.

I'm also blessed to be assigned to the 315th Airlift Wing as the Commander of the Mission Support Group and to be working with an exceptional group of people.

I'm very grateful to the men and women of this wing and especially those in the Mission Support Group and all they do to support us in a vast number of ways. In many cases that support is transparent and goes unnoticed.

Recently I was able to greet our returning Security Forces members from Kirkuk, Iraq. I am grateful both deployed groups made it home safely and I'm proud of their service to our Nation.

I know many of you have deployed, or performed back fill support here or at locations around the globe. Thank you for your dedication, motivation and for being an inspiring example for the world to follow. America, and ultimately the world, is a better place because of you and what you do.

To that end I wish you much success and many blessings on the road ahead. Thank you for making it easy to have an attitude of gratitude.
