The 315th Airlift Wing Public Affairs has partnered with Comcast Cable Television of Charleston and will start producing a monthly news-talk television show called Troop Talk.

Troop Talk will be seen in more than 110,000 households throughout the Charleston television market and will showcase the efforts of Charleston Air Force Base and the 315th AW to the community.  Each thirty minute show will air during the first week of each month on Comcast C-2 with repeat airings throughout that week, giving viewers five different times to watch the program during that week.

The first episode of Troop Talk will air on May 2nd at 8:30 p.m. showcasing both the 437th Airlift Wing and 315th Airlift Wing missions.  The episode will also highlight the mission of the Charleston's Explosive Ordnance Disposal team during the "In The Trenches," video segment along with a stop at our local VA hospital.

Capt. Wayne Capps of the 315th Public Affairs will host the show with segments produced by members of both the 315th and 437th Public Affairs.  "This is a great opportunity to showcase our wing to the community," said Capps.

"This is an exciting way to show our community what goes on here at the wing," said Major Bill Walsh, public affairs officer and executive producer of the program.  "It's our way of telling the Air Force story direct to the viewers with no filters."

One segment of each show will feature other military units in the Charleston area such as the Naval Weapons Station, Coast Guard Group, VA, Army and Marine assets, etc.

"We're going to open up the show to all military installations in the area to give them a vehicle to let the community know about the great things military members are doing right here at home and deployed," said Major Walsh.

Troop Talk is part of the community outreach program of the 315th Airlift Wing and Comcast Cable Television.
