The 315th Airlift Wing is actively seeking new applicants for the position of First Sergeant, and eligible Master Sergeants and Technical Sergeants nearing eligibility for promotion to Master Sergeant are encouraged to participate in the upcoming First Sergeant Council Meeting.

The meeting, scheduled for Saturday, March 2, aims to provide interested members with valuable information about the role, application process, and an opportunity to engage with current First Sergeants to gain insights into the responsibilities of the position.

During the event, attendees will have the chance to ask questions, receive details about the application procedure, and establish connections with the current First Sergeant team. The location for the meeting is yet to be determined and will be communicated closer to the event date.

“This initiative underscores the 315th Airlift Wing's commitment to maintaining a strong and effective leadership team,” said Chief Master Sgt. Joe Gonzalez, 315 AW command chief. “First Sergeants play a crucial role in supporting the welfare, morale, and discipline of enlisted personnel within the unit.”

Interested individuals are strongly encouraged to attend the First Sergeant Council Meeting during the March Unit Training Assembly, at 10 a.m. Saturday March 2, to explore the opportunity and contribute to the continued success of the 315th Airlift Wing.
