317th Airlift Squadron gains new commander

JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C -- Lt. Col. Stan Davis assumed command of the 317th Airlift Squadron April 28 from Col. Brent Merritt in a change of command ceremony officiated by Col. Caroline Evernham, 315th operations Group commander here.

Davis was formerly commander of the 315th Operations Support Squadron. Merritt will assume the role of vice commander for the 94th Airlift Wing at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia (Home of the Hercules C-130H aircraft).
