Twenty six members of an aeromedical evacuation squadron here participated in an air readiness inspection today during a local training mission.

Reservists with the 315th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron worked diligently in the cargo area of a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft alongside two Air Mobility Command evaluators who were on board to observe and validate members of the 315 AES during routine training.

According to Maj. Roseann Teckman, 315 AES flight nurse and officer in charge of standards and evaluations, multiple check rides and currency evaluations were performed during the mission.

"Training is nothing new to us," said Teckman. "We are always training, maintaining our skills and working toward better proficiency."

Maj. Kathleen Grimm, Air Mobility Command flight nurse evaluator, said she has been at Joint Base Charleston for the past four days gathering information for the up and coming December inspection.

Grimm was accompanied in Charleston by Master Sgt. Kevin Allen, AMC aeromedical evacuation technician evaluator, who evaluated 315 AES medical technicians.

"Our job is to make sure that all required areas are covered," said Grimm. "Our number one goal is to make sure that all AES members are safe flyers."
