315th ALCF North Field 2014

An Abrams M1A2 tank moves up the ramp of a C-17 Globemaster III Dec. 11, 2014 at North Air Force Auxiliary Field in North, S.C. The tank movement was part of a two-day exercise which integrated C-17 air and ground crew training for 315th Airlift Wing Airmen stationed at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. as well as Soldiers from one of the 3rd Infantry Division’s Immediate Ready Companies stationed at Fort Stewart, Ga. Four C-17’s were used during the exercise to deploy and redeploy two Abrams M1A2 tanks, an M88 recovery vehicle and two M2A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicles. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
