Shoes for kids in the Dominican Republic
Reservists at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina can rest assured that their participation in humanitarian efforts is truly appreciated and occasionally they get feedback from those on the receiving end. Most recently this feedback came from U.S. Southern Command after another Denton cargo delivery to the Dominican Republic by members of the 317th Airlift Squadron on June 12. A bulk of the cargo on this delivery was pallets containing 600 pairs of Croc-style shoes donated by an organization called Shuzz Fund. The recipients were for school-age children in underserved communities in the Province of Maria Trinidad Sanchez, Dominican Republic, in conjunction with USSOUTHCOM’s New Horizons Training Exercise Dominican Republic 2016.
