437th change of command
Col. Jimmy Canlas, outgoing 437th Airlift Wing commander, passes the 437th AW guidon to Lt. Gen. Gi Tuck, 18th Air Force commander, during a change of command ceremony July 12, 2018, in Nose Dock 2. During Canlas’s command, the 437th AW accounted for 33 percent of Air Mobility Command’s strategic airlift operations, flying 20,000 sorties which consisted of 47,000 flying hours, 209,000 short tons of cargo transported, 138,000 passengers transported and 52,000 jumps.
