Team Travis conducts first Indo-Pacific aeromedical evacuation mission for COVID-19
U.S. Air Force Airmen with the 60th Aerospace Medicine Squadron back up a high deck patient loading platform to a C-17 Globemaster III for an incoming COVID-19-positive patient July 17, 2020 at Travis Air Force Base, California. Travis Airmen transported the patient from the Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility as part of the Air Force’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak. This transport marked the Air Force’s first TIS mission into the INDOPACOM AOR and the 18th time employing TIS units to transport COVID-19 positive passengers.
