The Gold Star Family Member lapel pin was presented to U.S. Navy Commander Kerry Beasley at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Jan. 9, 2019 by 633rd Air Base Wing Commander, Colonel Sean K. Tyler. Beasley's father, U.S. Air Force Maj. Wayne Brown II, was declared missing in action after ejecting from an F-4 Phantom during the Vietnam War after a friendly fire malfunction.
