Army Welcome

Army Sgt. Maj. Tamisha Love welcomes an Afghan child with a U.S. flag during reception operations at Fort Lee, Va., Sept. 1, 2021. The Defense Department, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for Afghan evacuees at facilities across the United States.
