  • US delivers humanitarian aid to Beirut

    Personnel from the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing, Air Mobility Command’s 8th Expeditionary Air Mobility Squadron and 816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron on Al Udeid Air Base, and the Area Support Group-Qatar from Camp As Sayliyah worked to palletize food, water and medical supplies delivered to Beirut later that day.
  • Joint Base Charleston activates HPCON Bravo

    The Joint Base Charleston commander has downgraded the Health Protection Condition level from HPCON Charlie to HPCON Bravo Aug. 7, 2020. According to the U.S. Department of Defense official website, personnel operating at an installation adhering to HPCON Bravo guidance should continue to follow HPCON Alpha and HPCON 0 protocols.
  • JB Charleston Child Development Centers, Youth Centers to provide services for mission-critical personnel

    Starting Aug. 4, 2020, the Joint Base Charleston Child Development Centers/Youth Centers will be providing services for mission-critical personnel. All care needs must be coordinated through the member's unit command.
  • Reservists help school children in need

    During a combined humanitarian and training mission, a C-17 Globemaster III from the 315th Airlift Wing, Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, delivered educational supplies to St. Kitts and Nevis on July 25, 2020. The mission was planned to maintain the aircrews flying readiness requirements, while also delivering school supplies to the citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis.
  • Community leaders give back, thank those who serve

    Colonels Adam Willis, 315th Airlift Wing Commander and Clint ZumBrunnen, 437th Airlift Wing Commander, Joint Base Charleston were both presented with artwork on behalf of honorary commanders from the local Charleston community July 17, 2020.
  • Diversity and Inclusion update

    The Department of the Air Force, on behalf of both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force, stood up a special task force June 9, to address the issue of racial, ethnic and other demographic disparities and their impact on the forces.
  • First meeting held for military-wide Defense Board on Diversity and Inclusion

    The board was established by Secretary of Defense Mark Esper as part of the Department of Defense’s efforts to improve diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity for U.S. service members.
