Reserve resources, resilience through Rising Six

Are you looking for a civilian job, educational opportunities, or ways to access military resources like confidential non-medical counseling as a service member? The Rising Six Association of Joint Charleston, South Carolina, hosted a networking event Sep. 14, 2019, on base, for Airmen of all backgrounds. With a variety of community-based organizations such as the American Red Cross to Military One Source, the Rising Six Organization facilitated this networking event to help Airmen reach their educational goals, mental health resiliency, employment opportunities and much more.

Col. Boehle talks resiliency

Air Force Individual Reservists are the absolute best our nation has to offer.  They have unlimited opportunities to serve in an extremely flexible status that provides valuable skills to their organization while building and sustaining their warfighting skills. An individual reservist’s unit has operational control for their members and is the most connected to their reservists.  The purpose of the Chief of Staff of the Air Force’s Resilience Tactical Pause is to “increase Airmen connectedness and sense of purpose among our Airmen in order to increase unit cohesion, trust and confidence in command teams while soliciting feedback to decrease suicides.”  The best place for this is with the IR’s operational unit where the command team can look in their members’ eyes and assess their well-being.

A1 Support Team to be Available on Primary UTA Weekends

Beginning in October, the A1 directorate will have a team available to provide support to the field on all primary unit training assembly weekends. Reserve Citizen Airmen pave the way to accelerated readiness with collaboration

For the last two and a half months the Minneapolis-St. Paul Air Reserve Station’s track and field has been overrun by horses, RED HORSEs. Also known as rapid engineer deployable heavy operational repair squadron engineers, RED HORSE Squadrons are fully-armed, self-sufficient civil engineering units capable of performing personnel or weapons systems bed-down, and build or repair facilities and infrastructure.
