Senior Master Sergeant Tamika Culpepper is the Flight Chief for JB Charleston Recruiting Flight and the state of South Carolina. As the Flight Chief for the Charleston Recruiting Flight she is responsible for ensuring the effective manning of all Air Force Reserve units assigned throughout the area of responsibility. SMSgt Culpepper is responsible for advising wing leadership on personnel issues, manning and retention requirements, managing and supervising assigned recruiting personnel, maintaining liaison relations with Military Entrance Processing Stations and sister service counterparts, training recruiters, and ensuring proper resource utilization throughout South Carolina and the coast of Georgia.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California Sergeant Culpepper enlisted in the Air Force Reserve in January 2008. She spent 6 years serving as Information Management (TR/ART) at March ARB, California, before transferring to the Air Force Recruiting Group in 2014. Prior to her current role Sergeant Culpepper served in multiple positions in recruiting, to include line recruiter, in-service recruiter, lead recruiter, marketing & advertising manager, and additional duty first sergeant.
