  • Air Force update for COVID-19

    In an effort to minimize the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 and to prioritize the health and safety of Department of the Air Force personnel, the following modifications have been made:

  • Reserve Officer Development Categories

    On October 21, 2019 the Air Force announced it formally established six officer developmental groupings for active component line officers that took effect in March 2020 for the lieutenant colonel promotion board which convenes in May 2020.

  • Russia Deploys Military Fighter Aircraft to Libya

    Russian fighter jets were recently deployed to Libya in order to support Russian state-sponsored private military contractors operating on the ground there, U.S. Africa Command officials said.

    This Memorial Day weekend, although the cemeteries may remain silent, the ultimate sacrifice that was paid by the men and women buried in the nation's cemeteries around the world will not be forgotten.

  • For Some, Teleworking May Continue as Post-COVID-19 Option

    In April, the Defense Department's chief information officer said some of the tools and infrastructure put in place to support the rise of telework due to COVID-19 might remain after the pandemic subsides. Now, department leaders say, it is possible telework itself may live on.

  • Joint Base Charleston delivers Russia bound ventilators

    A Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina C-17 Globemaster III, today, picked up 50 USAID-provided ventilators at March Air Reserve Base, Calif. and delivered them to Dover Air Force Base, Maryland. The mission is the first leg of a USAID mission to deliver 200 ventilators this month to Moscow.

  • F-35 crashes at Eglin AFB

    The pilot successfully ejected and was transported to the 96th Medical Group Hospital for evaluation and monitoring.
