81st Aerial Port Squadron among 2012 AF nominees for externally sponsored logistics awards

JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The 81st Aerial Port Squadron here was recently named a 2012 Air Force nominee for the National Defense Transportation Association Unit Awards category by the Air Force Logistics Annual Awards Office.

"It is my distinct pleasure to announce the 2012 Air Force nominees for the externally sponsored logistics awards," Maj. Gen. John B. Cooper, director of Logistics said in a memo. "These awards recognize individuals and organizations within the logistics community for outstanding contributions to the success of AF and DoD missions. Given the extremely rigorous competition, all individual and unit nominees should be commended for their outstanding accomplishments ... Good luck at the next level of competition."
