    Air Force Reserve Command has selected Charleston Airman 1st Class Gage Stevens, 701st Airlift Squadron loadmaster as a winner of the 2019 AFRC Enlisted Aircrew Member of the Year Award.
  • Charleston Reserve mobilizes medical personnel for New York COVID-19 response

    Within 48 hours of notification, the Air Force Reserve mobilized more than 120 medical personnel across the nation to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. to help with the fight against COVID-19 in New York City. Joint Base Charleston’s 315th Airlift Wing mobilized a doctor, physician assistant and four nurses who are in the process of departing for JBMDL then to New York City’s Javits Center.

  • Humanitarian mission helps those in need while providing training for AE, aircrew

    Airmen from the 315th Airlift Wing deployed a C-17 Globemaster III Feb. 1, 2020 to deliver donated humanitarian aid to Honduras, in support of the Denton Program. The Denton Program is a Department of Defense transportation program that moves humanitarian cargo, donated by U.S. based non-governmental organizations to developing nations to ease human suffering. The program helps move donations from one spot to another to ensure proper delivery while simultaneously providing training hours for aircrews.
  • Joint emergency response exercise showcases capabilities of Air Force Reserve, 315th Contingency Response Flight

    Three Air Force Reserve Contingency Response units, along with partners from the U.S. Army, Army Reserve, National Guard, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and FBI teamed up to put their emergency response capabilities to the test during exercise Patriot Palm, held here Jan. 27-30, 2020.
