Technical Sergeant Jefferson Sanderson currently serves as the 315th Airlift Wing, Development and Training Flight Program Manager, Joint Base Charleston, S.C. Sergeant Sanderson is responsible for preparing future Air Force Reserve members for the rigors of Basic Military Training through education, fitness, and scenario-based events that help improve their mental and physical condition. Through his leadership, Technical Sergeant Sanderson builds his student’s confidence, punctuality, teamwork, protocol knowledge and problem solving, shaping future Airmen to reach their fullest potential.
Technical Sergeant Sanderson enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Security Forces Defender in December 2009. Upon completion of Technical Training, Technical Sergeant Sanderson was assigned to the 90th Missile Support Squadron, F.E Warren AFB as a Response Force Member. In February of 2011 Technical Sergeant Sanderson was assigned to the 90th Security Forces Group as a Tactical Response Force Assaulter. In May of 2013 he was assigned as a Security Forces Evaluator. In 2016 TSgt Sanderson transitioned to the 944 SFS as a Fire Team Leader. In 2017 he was assigned as the NCOIC of Training. In March of 2023 Technical Sergeant Sanderson was assigned to the 315th Security Forces Squadron JB Charleston AFB.
He has had several lead and supporting roles in joint-service exercises and multi-agency law enforcement exercises while assigned to the 944 SFS. TSgt Sanderson’s most recent deployment occurred in 2022, where he was tasked as a Fly Away Security Team Lead in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. As a Fly Away Security Team Leader, he maintained the safety and security of CENTCOM assets across 10 friendly and hostile countries. Prior to his current position, the TSgt was an evaluator for the, 315th Security Forces Squadron Joint Base Charleston.
