TSgt Tylace Odom Jr. is Line Recruiter in Charleston, SC for the 351st Recruiting Squadron. In this position, he prepares applicants for academic testing, physical examination, documentation preparation, and coordinates enlistments for non-prior and prior service individuals joining the Air Force Reserve.
Tylace Odom Jr. is a native of Richmond, Va. He joined the United States Air Force Reserve in 2012 and attended Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, were he graduated in March 2013. Tylace completed Air Transportation Technical Training at Fort Lee in Virginia. Sergeant Odom was assigned to the 69th Aerial Port Squadron, which is under the 459th Air Refueling Wing at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. Throughout his time with the 69th Aerial Port Squadron, Sergeant Odom was a member of four different sections, training flight, cargo processing, ramp services, and passenger service. In 2017, Tylace attended Airmen Leadership School in-residence and shortly promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. During this time, he supervised load teams for transportation of cargo withing the Air Mobility Command. Shorty after he prepared for his first deployment to Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. In January 2020 he supervised Ramp Services night operations for the 386th Expeditionary Wing during the peak of Covid-19. Shortly after returning from his deployment Tylace was promoted to the rank of Technical Sergeant 01 October 2021. The next step for Tylace was attending Recruiter Technical Training in San Antonio Tx at Lackland Air Force Base. In February Tylace was assigned to the 351st Recruiting Squadron and now is stationed at Joint Base Charleston, where he continue to preform is duties as a line recruiter.
