*Latest Info from the 315TH AMDS (JAN  2022)

CDC guidelines state that “fully vaccinated” means you are within 6 months from your primary series of Pfizer or Moderna, or 2 months J&J. If you have a booster outside of that you are fully vaccinated according to CDC guidance. Military considers us fully vaccinated if you finished the primary series or have the single dose of J&J but we fall under CDC guidelines for isolation/quarantine protocol.

If member is positive they have to isolate for 5 days from date they tested positive. If they are fever free for 24 hours without the aid of medication, and other symptoms are improving, they can return to work on Day 6 with strict mask wear through day 10.

If member is exposed to a positive and fully vaccinated (see above) they do not have to quarantine, they are to check symptoms for 10 days and if at any point develop a symptom they are to isolate and get tested.

If member is exposed to a positive and not fully vaccinated (see above) they have to quarantine for 5 days, return to work on day 6 so long as they do not have symptoms. Symptom check for 10 days and strict mask wear for 10 days.

• If a member is an ART, AGR or civilian on base and is positive or in close contact with a positive they have to contact the AD Public Health clinic at 843-963-6962, after hours contact 843-693-8134.
• If a member is a TR not in status have member or unit contact 315 AMDS at 843-963-6786 or 6625 to report or via email.

Masks not required at this time

When the CDC COVID-19 Community Level is low in the county where a DoD installation or facility is located (as is the current case in the Lowcountry), indoor mask-wearing is not required for DoD personnel or visitors. The screening testing program is not required for that installation or facility.

Individuals may choose to wear a mask regardless of the COVID-19 Community Level.

All other force health protection guidance remains in effect, including guidance regarding workplace access, occupancy levels, physical distancing, travel, and meetings. Individual must follow more rigorous workplace mask mandates when commanders and supervisors determine that it is required to protect health and safety in the workplace, such as mask wearing by health care workers.

Per Defense Health Agency guidance, effective immediately, wearing a face mask with exhalation valves is prohibited in the 628 Medical Group and all DHA facilities because it is not effective in slowing the spread of COVID-19. The primary purpose of wearing face masks is to keep respiratory droplets from reaching others and to mitigate the spread of Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Masks with one-way valves or vents allow exhaled air to be expelled out through holes in the material.
