The 315th Airlift Wing launched a podcast this week with an introductory episode telling listeners what they can expect in the wing’s new convenient monthly information program with the first full episode to air by Oct. 1.

“We’re very excited to offer this new way for our Reservists to stay up to date on what’s going on at the 315th,” said Maj. Wayne Capps, 315th AW Public Affairs Officer and one of the show’s hosts. “Our Behind the Wing podcast allow our users to subscribe to our podcast and listen at their convenience where ever they are.”

The half-hour to hour long Behind the Wing podcast is delivered in a casual radio show fashion rather than a formal commander’s call-like session. The show will present two 10-15 minute news segments, a 5-10 minute new brief update, and a 10-15 minute feature segment.
The main hosts for Behind the Wing are Maj. Capps, and Tech. Sgt. Bobby Pilch, 315 AW Public Affairs.

Stories for Behind the Wing’s first show include: a look at the maintainers of the 315th Maintenance Group, information about our Reserve recruiting program and frequently asked questions. The show will also look at some of the impressive things our aircrews are doing around the world – especially to help support the hurricane relief efforts.

The wing’s podcast is available on iTunes, through our 315 AW mobile app, through other podcast listening apps, as well as on our website at: http://www.315aw.afrc.af.mil/News/Behind_the_Wing/ .
