Outstanding maintenance Airmen receive outstanding awards

Two members of the 315th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron here, are the 2009 recipients of the Air Mobility Command Reserve Associate Maintenance awards.
 
Capt. Cynthia A. Bass, the viper flight commander, was recognized as the AMC Outstanding Reserve Associate Officer of the Year.

A Winnsboro native, Capt. Bass has served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years. First enlisted as a Space and Missile technician, she served six years at McChord Air Force Base, Wash. She has been a traditional reservist for four years, and began working as an Air Reserve Technician in December 2009.

Tech. Sgt. Jeremy R. Lemerande, an aerospace propulsion technician, was recognized as the AMC Outstanding Reserve Associate Technician of the Year.

A Milwaukee native, Tech Sgt. Lemerande has served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years. Sergeant Lemerande was first stationed at General Mitchell Air Reserve Station, Milwaukee, Wis. He has been an ART for more than eight years, and he moved to Charleston in July 2007.

Capt. Bass and Sergeant Lemerande said they appreciate the recognition, and they would like to thank the 315th Maintenance Group and the 437th Maintenance Group for their world-class leadership.

The exemplary efforts and unique accomplishment of these Airmen contributed immeasurably to the effectiveness of the United States Air Force, and the 315th Airlift Wing extend our best wishes for their continued success.
