Local sports teams hold Military Appreciation Night

Reservists, retirees, DoD civilians and dependents are invited to attend Military Appreciation Night for the Charleston Riverdogs Thursday May, 13 at 7:05 p.m. at Joe Riley Stadium and the Charleston Battery Saturday May, 15 at 7:30 p.m. at Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island.

Vouchers for the Riverdogs game and tickets for the Battery game are available for pickup throughout the week at the 315th public affairs office and the outdoor recreation center.

The vouchers for the Riverdogs game can be exchanged for tickets at the Riverdog box office the day of the game. Tickets are also available for free at the box offices of both teams on the day of the game with a valid military ID.

Col. Mike Speer, 315th Airlift Wing Vice Commander, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the Riverdogs game as they take on the Augusta Greenjackets.

Gates open for both events at 6 p.m.
