Give your reservists the recognition they deserve Published April 6, 2010 By 315 AW Public Affairs CHARLESTON S.C. -- Do you have a new member in your office or a recent promotion? Did you recently receive an award or decoration? Then submit a Hometown News Release and let everyone back home know about you and 315th Airlift Wing. The Air Force Hometown News Service provides an outlet for reservists to submit their stories of accomplishments or activities to newspapers, radio stations and television stations in their hometowns. Information will be sent to the Defense Media Association in San Antonio for processing, and then sent out local newspapers in the member's hometown and local area. Hometown news releases include, but are not limited to topics such as promotions, reassignments, completion of schools, basic training graduation and awards and decorations. They may also include a photograph. To submit your announcements, go to http://www.315aw.afrc.af.mil/ and click the banner under the Hometown News Release tab. Begin filling out the form in block 3, fill out the form and email the DD2266 and any additional information to 315AW.PA@charleston.af.mil. Any questions may be directed to the 315th Airlift Wing Public Affairs Office at 963-2036.
