Scott Mathews 315th Airlift Wing Public Affairs CHARLESTON AFB, S.C. -- In a ceremony on Sunday at the Base Chapel, 315th Airlift Wing members and others came together to celebrate the life of one of their own. Staff Sgt. Danielle M. Mincey , a member of the 315th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, passed away July 18, 2009 at her home in Charleston. At the memorial, co-workers and friends were able to say a few words about their fallen fellow airman. A common thread with more than 10 speakers was that Sergeant Mincey always had a smile on her face and was able to brighten up anyone's day. Senior Master Sgt. Michael Causey, 315th AMDS, said, "She was someone that I could always count on. She was always happy and wanted you to be happy." Sergeant Mincey was an Aerospace Medical Technician with the 315th AMDS, she also worked at the Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center as an Administrative Assistant in the primary care unit and was a volunteer for the Charleston Humane Society. "Mincey excelled at everything she did," said Lt. Col. Sharon Macon, Chief Nurse, 315th AMDS. Sergeant Mincey's friend and co-worker, Senior Airman Tanae Magwood, 315th AMDS, said, "This is a great loss but please try to keep the memories with you."
