Colonel Adam Willis took command of the Air Force Reserve's 315th Airlift Wing in a ceremony held here Dec. 7, 2019.

Col. Willis assumed command from Col. Gregory Gilmour, the outgoing 315th Airlift Wing commander.

The Change of command was officiated by Maj. Gen. Randall Ogden, U.S. Air Force 4th Air Force Commander.

“When I think of Col. Willis, I just think about his certain leadership approach of airmen ahead of himself,” said Ogden. “He’s another great leader to follow in Col. Gilmour’s steps.”

Col. Willis is the former commander of the 445th Airlift Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, where he commanded 19 units with an inventory of nine C-17 Globemaster III aircraft and more than 2,000 Airmen.

“As we look to the future, I would ask you to remember these three very powerful words,” said Willis. “Integrity, your very essence.  Service, we simply love what we do and who we are, and we are not shy about it.  And Excellence, a synonym for the 315th Airlift Wing.”
