JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. --
The 315th Airlift Wing placed first in 10 categories in the 2019 Air Force Reserve Command Media Contest, according to an announcement made by AFRC today by Col. Beth Horine, AFRC Public Affairs chief.
“We had a number of outstanding products in 2019, and the work that you each produced shows your commitment to excellence and communication synchronization with AF Reserve priorities,” Horine said. “Congrats to all of our winners, who will now compete at the Air Force level – we wish them the best of luck!”
The 315th’s entries came from members from wing public affairs as well as its 4th Combat Camera Squadron.
This year’s winners are:
Military Writer of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Della Creech, 315 AW Public Affairs
Military Photographer of the Year: Staff Sgt. Corban Lundborg, 4 CTCS
Feature Story: Senior Airman Alyssa Van Hook, 4 CTCS
Long-form Production Video: Tech Sgt. Thomas Grimes, Staff Sgt. Christopher Morris, Staff Sgt. Shelby Matullo and Senior Airman Chelsie Taddonio, 4 CTCS

This round of wins comes during the first stage of the Defense Department’s Public Affairs media contest, which is designed to highlight video, photo and other news products produced by public affairs and combat camera professionals who tell the military story through their products.
The winners will be forwarded to represent AFRC in the Air Force-level competition.
